The Agency’s members entered into a project agreement to jointly construct the La Habra Heights County Water District Pipeline Project. RWD has entered into a Water Production and Delivery agreement with the La Habra Heights County Water District and the Orchard Dale Water District for delivery of up to approximately 2,000 acre feet per year of potable water from the Central Basin, produced through the use of the Agency’s water rights and supplemental lease rights. The project is completely independent of MWD’s system and imported water supplies.

The project consists of the installation of a connection to La Habra Heights County Water District’s distribution system, approximately 4,000 feet of 12-inch diameter ductile iron pipe, 7 fire hydrants, 4 service laterals, six inch flow meter, a block building housing chlorine and ammonia storage tanks, chlorine and ammonia feed pumps, and chlorine analyzers.
